Every Sunday morning, Hippyhead pours himself a cup of brew and spins some blues for you. Beginning bright and early at 8am, we go back to where it all began with Folk and Country Blues.

Then Hippy drifts on down river to Beale Street and the Memphis blues with some Urban blues, Boogie Woogie and the introduction into early RocknRoll.

Listen in as Hippyhead introduces you to blues artists that aren’t as well known as BBKing or other blues legends. Every Sunday, he’ll guide you along the journey to the heart of America’s music.

The birth of Rock and Roll emerged from the Blues. So to pay tribute, at the top of the 9 o’clock hour, starts the BACK2BACK sponsored by J&J Old Louisville Music Shop: A song that originated as a blues recording followed by a rock band’s version.

Followed by the “Chess Club” featuring 4-5 songs of bands signed to and recorded at the legendary Chess Records in Chicago.

Colossal Collaborations, the Reefer Blues, Session Cuts and a gumbo of Southern Soul Blues, Texas Blues, Hill Country Blues up to Present da blues fill the rest of the show. So tune in every Sunday morning for Hippy’s best picks of blues.
