Wed 7-9pm on LRS102.com

It all begins with a sound. A calling in an artist’s mind to create music by learning to play an instrument. Whether its the voice, a stringed instrument, or percussion. The amount of time, failure and success from learning and practicing means everything to the musician for years.

Joining a band requires auditions, practices, gelling the right group of people (based on crazy personalities and all musicians are a little crazy!). Usually, they start out with cover tunes and then to writing their own songs under their new band name. After that, the desire to get on that stage and rock out becomes center stage in their heads. Then its time to spend hours in a studio recording their songs. Now its time to get your band heard and for everyone to hear you…….thats what WEDNESDAY4DALOCALS is all about.

For over 15 years, Hippyhead Spotlight is synonymous with supporting LOCAL musicians either by setting up showcases or spinning their tunes on the radio. Given 2 hours on a day dedicated to local music on LRS102.com, WEDNESDAY4DALOCALS is packed full of talent.

Interviews with bands is always a good time. Tune in at 8pm as Hippyhead interviews some of the most talented musicians locally.
